A deadly maritime disaster in Halifax, Canada, is known as the Halifax Explosion. Many constructions were completely destroyed due to that explosion.

 

Halifax Explosion took place on December 6, 1917. During the explosion, the Bells were still in residence at Beinn Bhreagh. Alexander Graham Bell integrated the public to help the sufferers in Halifax. This was a maritime disaster in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The deadly event occurred in the morning. SS Imo, a Norwegian vessel crashed with the French cargo ship SS Mont-Blanc, which was loaded with high explosives. Both the ships collided in the Narrows, a channel linking the upper Halifax Harbour to Bedford Basin.
