The rock-built two-storied house looks serene at the dawn. With a small gate in front, the nifty house is surrounded by some shrubs.

 

Smith used to live in Panmure House with his mother as he was appointed as customs commissioner in 1778. The house is situated in Edinburgh’s Canongate. However, the beautiful house was demolished in 1955.
