The Mount Scopus Campus of the Hebrew University comprises a huge area with some scattered hostels and a beautiful tower in the middle.

In 1921, Chaim Weizmann, the biochemist and president of the World Zionist Organization requested Einstein to help in raising funds for the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Einstein was one of the first Board of Governors of the university and played the role of a figurehead leader in establishing the university. The university was opened in 1925.
